National History Museum Lahore is the firstever digital museum in Pakistan, and since its launch, it has become a popular tourist attraction. Spread over an area of 35000 square feet, it has beautifully displayed the history of Pakistan with a modern touch. 

Main Features of National History Museum

National History Museum is a joint project of Parks & Horticulture Authority and The Citizen Archive of Pakistan, featuring modern interactive displays, holograms, VR arrangements, cinema, and over 8700 digitized photos. 

Located in the outskirts of the walled city of Lahore in the Great Iqbal Park, this impressive digital museum will help you relive Pakistan’s independence. 

Some of the top features of National History Museum include the timeline of Pakistani currency, Jinnah-Gandhi talks,  mementos from British rule on the subcontinent, and the model of rehabilitation office. 

Further, it features presidential awards, recognition to heroes, important aircraft possessed by Pakistan, essential stories in newspaper articles, letters, and first-hand accounts. 

Numerous exhibits, amphitheater, audio, and video features, and an expansive collection makes it an impressive experience to visit the museum. 

Infrastructure of National History Museum

National History Museum Lahore has five halls, each touching a different timeline of the history of Pakistan. For example, the first hall displays the time before independence, including the Lahore resolution, Jinnah-Gandhi talks, and the Indian Independence Act 1947. 

The second hall displays the 1947 Riots of the Partition, while the third divides into sections that exhibit Wagah Station, Armed forces of Pakistan, the refugees, and the Government of newborn Pakistan. 

The fourth hall displays Pop Culture, and the fifth hall exhibits young historians, Quwwat e Pakistan and sports. This digital museum has brought memorable pieces of history, Pakistan’s heroes, and pop culture all under one roof.
