For someone who loves parks and greenery, a healthy opportunity for a pleasant, off-road green space run in Lahore is Bagh-e-Jinnah also known as Lawrence Park, where it's possible to not only put together a few kilometers of a run but also simply de-stress while sitting under century-old tall and gracious palm trees. With the mesmeric fragrance of the flowers, the soothing chirping of birds, the fallen leaves tickling your feet, and the breathtaking scenery, this place offers all of these heart and soul captivating treats.
Areas at Lawrence Garden Lahore
This is a grand park with gardens inside, including Gulshan-e-Fatima and a Botanic garden.
There's a lush green, man-made hill in the center of the park which offers a 360-degree view of the area. The park also contains a beautiful masjid surrounded by greenery, a cycling track, a magnificent library, an open-air theater, sports facilities, a waterfall, extensive lawned areas, and a zoo at the northern end. A 1.8 km jogging track is however the best bet, located next to the iconic Quaid-e-Azam library. You can also experience the mighty lion roar’s from across the zoo.
Bhag-e-Jinnah park was also a famous cricket ground since 1885 built for the entertainment of government officers and civil servants. The ground played host to friendly matches and still hosts tour matches involving visiting nations. The park also has a tomb of a great saint with a heavy number of visitors.
